LekhneSathi ("the App") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your information. This Privacy Policy explains what data may be collected, how it is used, and when it may be shared when you use our features (including ads, AI generation, and voice transcription).
लेख्ने साथी ("यो एप") ले तपाईंको गोपनीयताको सम्मान गर्दछ र तपाईंको जानकारीको सुरक्षा गर्न प्रतिबद्ध छ। यो गोपनीयता नीतिले विज्ञापन, AI सन्देश, र भ्वाइस ट्रान्सक्रिप्सन सहित तपाईंले एप प्रयोग गर्दा कुन डेटा कसरी प्रयोग/साझेदारी हुन सक्छ भन्ने स्पष्ट गर्छ।
1. Information We Collect / हामीले सङ्कलन गर्ने जानकारी
Depending on which features you use, the App (and SDKs used in the App) may collect/transmit the following data types:
A) Voice / Audio (Speech-to-Text)
- Voice or sound recordings (audio for transcription) may be transmitted off-device when your phone/browser uses cloud speech recognition.
- Audio is used only to generate the transcript (speech-to-text).
- iOS: Nepali voice dictation is not natively supported on iOS. For adding events and shopping list items, the microphone uses English speech recognition — spoken English is automatically converted to Nepali text. The mic is not available in the main message composer on iOS in Nepali mode. English dictation is available in all modes.
- Android: Nepali voice dictation is fully supported and the microphone button is available in the Nepali interface.

- Android: Android मा नेपाली भ्वाइस डिक्टेसन पूर्ण रूपमा समर्थित छ र माइक बटन नेपाली इन्टरफेसमा उपलब्ध छ।
B) User Content (AI Prompt)
- If you use AI message generation, the text you type/speak as a prompt/instruction is sent to our server to generate the response.
- Our server may use third-party AI providers (e.g., OpenAI) to generate the result.

- AI सन्देश प्रयोग गर्दा तपाईंले लेखेको/भनेको prompt/निर्देशन सर्भरमा पठाइन्छ।
- उत्तर बनाउन सर्भरबाट तेस्रो-पक्ष AI provider (जस्तै OpenAI) प्रयोग हुन सक्छ।
C) Identifiers / पहिचानकर्ता
- Advertising ID (Android) may be collected/processed by advertising SDKs (e.g., Google AdMob) to show and measure ads.
- The App may generate and use a device identifier (UUID) to manage AI quota / rewarded token flow.

- विज्ञापन देखाउन/मापन गर्न Advertising ID (Android) प्रयोग हुन सक्छ।

D) Approximate Location / करिब स्थान
- We do not request location permissions (no ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION / ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION).
- However, advertising services may derive approximate location from network signals such as IP address (e.g., city-level).

E) App Activity (Ad Interactions)
- Ad services may process app interaction signals (e.g., ad views/clicks) for ad delivery, measurement, and fraud prevention.
2. How We Use Information / जानकारी कसरी प्रयोग हुन्छ
App Functionality / एप चलाउन
- Speech-to-text: converting speech into text.
- AI generation: generating messages from your prompt.
- Daily content: the App may fetch updates like tips/notifications from our website.
Advertising / विज्ञापन
- Showing ads and measuring ad performance (AdMob).
- Fraud prevention related to ads.
- Ads are displayed regardless of your tracking consent. If you decline tracking or deny the App Tracking Transparency prompt on iOS, non-personalised ads are shown instead of personalised ads. The app continues to function fully either way.

तपाईंको ट्र्याकिङ सहमतिको पर्वाह नगरी विज्ञापन देखाइन्छ। ट्र्याकिङ अस्वीकार गरे पनि गैर-व्यक्तिगत विज्ञापन देखाइन्छ। एप पूर्ण रूपमा काम गर्छ।
Fraud Prevention, Security, Compliance
- Preventing invalid ad traffic and verifying rewarded flows.
3. Ads & Tracking Consent / विज्ञापन र ट्र्याकिङ सहमति
iOS (App Tracking Transparency)
- On iOS, you may see an App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt asking whether to allow the app to track your activity across other companies' apps and websites.
- If you allow tracking: more relevant, personalised ads are shown.
- If you decline tracking: ads are still shown, but they are non-personalised (not based on your activity across other apps).
- Your choice does not affect app functionality. All features work the same regardless of your tracking preference.

- "Allow" छान्नुभयो भने: सान्दर्भिक, व्यक्तिगत विज्ञापन देखिन्छ।

Android
- On Android, your Advertising ID may be used for ad personalisation and measurement.
- You can reset your Advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads in your device Settings > Google > Ads.

- Android मा विज्ञापन व्यक्तिगतकरणका लागि Advertising ID प्रयोग हुन सक्छ।
- तपाईं Settings > Google > Ads मा Advertising ID रिसेट वा अप्ट-आउट गर्न सक्नुहुन्छ।
4. Data Sharing / डेटा साझेदारी
The App may share/transfer data to third parties in these cases:
- Google AdMob (ads): identifiers (including Advertising ID), approximate location (derived), and interaction signals may be processed by Google for advertising/measurement/fraud prevention.
- Speech recognition providers (Google/Apple): when cloud speech recognition is used, audio may be transmitted to the provider to produce the transcript.
- AI providers (e.g., OpenAI): when AI generation is used, your prompt may be processed via our server using a third-party AI provider.
We do not sell your personal data.

5. Data Storage and Retention / डेटा भण्डारण र अवधि
- Voice audio: We do not intentionally store raw audio on our own servers. Speech providers may process audio to return the transcript.
- AI prompts: Prompts are used to generate responses. Server/provider retention (if any) depends on the service and security requirements.
- Local data: Generated text, history, and preferences may be stored locally on your device (e.g., app storage).
6. Your Choices / तपाईंको विकल्प
- Microphone: You can choose whether to use voice input.
- AI generation: You can choose whether to use AI generation; local generator works without AI.
- Sharing: You control when you copy/share your generated text.
- Tracking (iOS): You can allow or deny tracking via the ATT prompt; ads still show either way.
- Advertising ID (Android): You can reset or opt out in device settings.
7. Platform-Specific Notes / प्लेटफर्म-विशेष नोटहरू
iOS
- Nepali voice dictation is not natively supported on iOS. 8. Security / सुरक्षा
- Data transmission uses encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) where applicable.
- No system can be guaranteed 100% secure; please keep your device secure.
9. Children's Privacy / बालबालिकाको गोपनीयता
LekhneSathi is not intended to knowingly collect personal data from children.
10. Changes to This Policy / नीतिमा परिवर्तन
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with an updated effective date.
